Danner & Flemming

Danner & Fleming is a fragrance house built on admiring various iris root harvests. Farmer Christian Danner and biologist Marcel Fleming turned their fascination with the world’s costliest perfume material — iris root — into their determination to establish the cultivation of iris in their home of Bavaria, Germany. At unusually high concentrations of between 2.5 – 4.1 % in the perfume oil, the different iris root types define the character of their creations. As each year's harvest is unique, Danner & Fleming fragrances are millésime perfumes and are therefore naturally limited editions. In addition to the perfume itself, the house’s signature boxes also contain a carefully selected piece of iris rhizome and a precious vial of pure iris essence, representing the heart of the respective fragrance. The individual components tell the story of how each perfume was created, inviting you to experience the journey of Bavarian iris from the soil to the scent.
