NGC 6302 | Butterfly Nebula

NGC 6302, also known as the Butterfly Nebula, is a planetary nebula in the constellation Scorpio, 4000 light years from Earth. It looks like a giant, glowing insect in space, with two colorful “wings”, and a dark band of dust through the middle that resembles a body.
